About Me
My name is Lana, I live in Hackney with my family.
As well as teaching Hatha yoga. Alongside teaching yoga, I work part-time as a senior administrator in a local NHS Trust.
I first came across yoga 1997 while looking for ways to manage stress and recurring headaches. I came across the British Wheel of Yoga and began regularly attending classes. Yoga has had a profoundaly positive impact on my life. It has improved my fitness levels-enhancing flexibility, stamina and strength, whilst also incraesing my awareness of myself and the wider world around me. Most importantly, it supports me in navigating daily life with a calmer, kinder frame of mind.
I completed a foundation course in 2001, followed by a 500-hour British Wheel of Yoga Teacher training Diplomain october 2022. These studies deepened my knowledge of, an respect for, the practice. I continue to buils skills and expereince through ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development), regularly attending workshops and learning from other teachers.
I am Emergency First Aid trained and renew this every three years.
Outside of yoga, my interests include Pilates (bother reformer and mat), running, strength training, travel, and arts and crafts-paticularyly Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
